Bio
Fiona Taylor is a writer, interviewer, and podcaster based on the Mornington Peninsula, on Bunurong Country.
When she’s not at her laptop crafting stories, she hosts Three Questions with Fiona Taylor — a video series of quick conversations with her favourite Australian authors.
She is also the creator and co-host of The Word Count, a writing accountability podcast that follows three Australian writers from blank page to publication, featuring bestselling author Jo Dixon and debut author Jacq Ellem.
Fiona is currently working on her first novel, a psychological thriller that fuses her passion for fashion, celebrity culture, and murder mysteries.
She studied Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT, completed the Writing a Novel course with Faber Academy, and honed her crime-writing skills with Curtis Brown UK. In 2019, her short story Birdsong received a Highly Commended in the Writers Victoria Emerging Writers Competition.
Fiona is mentored by award-winning author Hayley Scrivenor and was awarded a KSP Writers’ Centre Fellowship in 2025. She is a familiar face at author events and writers’ festivals across Australia and very active on social media.
